Chapter 9 - The Executioner's Block

I walked slowly onto the massive, dimly lit factory floor with my empty hands raised high in the air.
Dozens of Lorenzo's heavily armed mercenaries stepped out from the dark shadows, aiming laser sights directly at my chest.
Lorenzo walked proudly down the rusted metal staircase, aggressively dragging a crying Lily behind him.
"You always did have a pathetic, massive weak spot for strays," Lorenzo mocked loudly, tossing Lily roughly to the ground.
Lily scrambled desperately toward me, crying hysterically, but two massive guards forcefully held me back.
"Let her go, Lorenzo," I demanded fiercely, ignoring the heavy gun pressed directly against the back of my head.
"You gave me your exact word."
"My word?" Lorenzo laughed maniacally, his scarred face twisting in absolute, pure hatred.
"You shot me perfectly in the chest and left me to drown in the freezing river because of your word to our father."
Lorenzo aggressively drew a massive, silver revolver and pointed it directly at my face.
"I want you to watch her die first, just so you know exactly how it feels to lose your family."
He violently shifted his aim away from me and pointed the massive gun directly at Lily's tiny head.
My heart completely stopped, and I roared in absolute, blinding fury, struggling violently against the heavy guards.
Suddenly, a deafening, metallic crash violently shook the entire foundation of the massive warehouse.
Clara had managed to hotwire a heavy industrial forklift left completely abandoned near the loading dock.
She aggressively rammed the massive machine directly through the thin factory wall, sending cinderblocks flying everywhere.
The heavy debris violently crushed two of Lorenzo’s armed guards instantly.
Utter chaos erupted wildly on the factory floor as the remaining mercenaries fired blindly at the massive machine.
I viciously headbutted the distracted guard holding me and rapidly snatched his heavy combat knife.
I threw the sharp blade with absolute, perfect precision, striking Lorenzo aggressively in his right shoulder.
Lorenzo screamed loudly in intense agony, dropping his heavy silver revolver to the dirty floor.

But instead of fighting me, he grabbed Lily forcefully by her tiny jacket and violently dragged her toward the loading dock doors.
A massive, black helicopter was already spooling its heavy rotors loudly outside in the snow.
