Chapter 4 - The Father's Betrayal

A heavy, military-grade tear gas canister bounced violently onto the motel room carpet.
Thick white chemical smoke instantly exploded aggressively throughout the small, enclosed space.
Ethan grabbed Ava forcefully from the bed and desperately covered her delicate face with a wet towel.
Lena kicked the motel door completely open and dragged them both out into the rainy parking lot.
They coughed uncontrollably as they stumbled blindly toward a stolen car Lena had secured earlier.
Elite mercenaries quickly emerged from the dark shadows, aiming their heavy weapons directly at them.
Lena pulled a hidden pistol from her waistband and fired three rapid, incredibly precise shots.
Two of the mercenaries collapsed instantly, completely shocked by the maid's incredible combat skills.
"Get in the car and drive right now!" Lena screamed loudly, providing highly desperate covering fire.
Ethan lifted Ava securely into the backseat and aggressively slammed his foot onto the gas pedal.
They sped away rapidly into the stormy night, successfully leaving the absolute chaos far behind them.
Ava wept bitterly, her pure heart entirely broken by the shocking, horrific revelation about her father.
She could not possibly understand how Richard could ever do something so incredibly evil.
Ethan fiercely promised he would find Richard and force him to confess absolutely everything to the authorities.
He successfully used a highly encrypted burner phone to track Richard's last known location.
They arrived at a massive, incredibly luxurious suburban mansion completely paid for by Margaret's blood money.
Ethan kicked the heavy wooden front door violently open without a single ounce of hesitation.
Richard was sitting comfortably on a velvet couch, casually sipping expensive whiskey in total peace.
He looked up in sheer, undeniable panic as Ethan aimed a stolen pistol directly at his head.
Ava wheeled herself slowly into the room, fiercely staring at her father with absolute disgust.
"Why did you destroy my life?" Ava demanded coldly, her voice shaking with intense, burning rage.
Richard tragically dropped his glass, crying entirely fake tears to easily manipulate his crippled daughter.
He falsely claimed Margaret had violently threatened to murder Ava's younger sister if he refused to comply.
Ethan lowered the gun slightly, completely conflicted by this deeply sudden new information.
Before absolutely anyone could speak again, a chilling voice echoed loudly from the top of the grand staircase.

"He is completely lying to you," Margaret proudly announced with a cruel, wicked smile.
She walked gracefully down the stairs, heavily flanked by dozens of heavily armed, terrifying guards.
