Chapter 1 - The Unwelcome Visitor

Julian walked into the delivery room with a cold and arrogant smile.
He wore a tailored suit that cost more than my entire hospital bill.
I clutched my hospital gown tightly as a wave of pure terror washed over me.
"I came to collect my property," Julian announced to the silent room.
The doctor instinctively pulled my newborn son closer to his chest.
"You have no right to be here," I whispered with a trembling voice.
Julian completely ignored me and pulled a crisp legal document from his expensive jacket.
"This court order grants me full physical custody of the child due to your financial instability."
He had intentionally frozen my bank accounts just to make me look like an unfit mother.
"You cannot take him," the doctor said, his voice shaking with a strange mixture of fear and anger.
"I am his father, and you are just a hired physician," Julian sneered.
The doctor looked down at the baby and gently wiped a tear from his own cheek.
"That is biologically impossible, Julian."
Julian froze in his tracks.
"What kind of nonsense are you talking about?" he demanded fiercely.
The doctor took a deep breath and looked directly into Julian's angry eyes.
"I was the attending physician who reviewed your private medical files five years ago."
The delivery room fell into an absolutely deafening silence.
"You were born with a rare genetic condition that makes you one hundred percent sterile."
Julian's face turned a dangerous shade of pale.
"If you are sterile, then who is the father of my baby?" I asked, my heart pounding violently against my ribs.
Julian turned to me with a wicked and terrifying grin.
"I paid the fertility clinic to use a very specific donor when you were asleep."
The truth hit me like a physical blow to the chest.
Julian took a step closer to my hospital bed and lowered his voice into a vicious whisper.
"I just needed you to incubate the ultimate bargaining chip."

Before I could even process his horrific confession, the heavy hospital door swung open again.
Two massive armed security guards stepped into the room, followed closely by Julian's mother, Eleanor.
