Chapter 8 - The Perp Walk

The federal agents entered the boardroom and read Robert his rights.

As they handcuffed him, Robert looked at me, his eyes wide with desperate panic. "Arthur, please. We're family. Don't let them do this to me. I'm your wife's brother!"

"My family," I said, looking proudly at Julian, "is standing right beside me. You are nothing but a thief."

The agents escorted Robert out of the boardroom, through the executive suites, and down into the main lobby. The local news media, who had been tipped off about a "major corporate development," were waiting outside the glass doors.

Cameras flashed as Robert was subjected to the ultimate perp walk, humiliated in front of the entire city. The man who had tried to paint my son as a failure was now being broadcast to the world as a federal criminal.
