Chapter 7 - The Mastermind Revealed
The tall man stood perfectly confident in the massive warehouse as freezing wind whipped aggressively through the open doors.
Jason felt the absolute blood completely freeze in his veins as he stared at the familiar, terrifying face.
It was Arthur Miller, Jason's incredibly abusive, ruthlessly wealthy father who had supposedly died in a plane crash ten years ago.
Arthur completely laughed with a terrifying, hollow wheeze that violently echoed through the massive, empty building.
"You really thought I would permanently leave my massive global empire to a weak, pathetic corporate idealist like you?"
Jason completely realized that the entire syndicate, the money laundering, and the kidnapping were all orchestrated by his own father.
"You completely faked your own violent death just to secretly build an illegal international arms cartel," Jason stated in pure shock.
Arthur happily nodded his head and casually signaled his remaining heavily armed mercenaries to completely surround them.
"I simply needed to operate completely from the dark shadows to expand the true family business globally."
Maya aggressively grabbed Jason's arm, her beautiful eyes completely wide with absolute, unadulterated terror.
"He actively tortured me for weeks trying to find out exactly where I hid the gold master drive," Maya whispered frantically.
Jason felt a massive, violent surge of pure, feral rage entirely consume his exhausted, bleeding body.
"I will absolutely kill you with my bare hands for ever touching the mother of my children," Jason violently screamed.
Arthur slowly pulled a massive, heavy silver hand cannon from his tailored suit jacket and aimed it directly at Jason.
"You are fundamentally misunderstanding your complete lack of leverage in this highly unfortunate family reunion."
Arthur confidently explained that his men had already easily located the stolen medical van parked in the alleyway.
He coldly revealed that his ruthless mercenaries currently had Liam and Lucas entirely surrounded in the dark.
"You will hand over the decrypted gold drive right now, or I will order my men to execute my own grandsons."
Jason knew absolutely that his psychopathic father would not hesitate for a single second to murder innocent children.
He slowly reached into his pocket and aggressively threw the heavy gold drive perfectly across the concrete floor.
Arthur greedily bent over to pick up the drive, momentarily taking his cold, dead eyes completely off his son.
Jason aggressively pulled a hidden flashbang grenade from his belt and violently hurled it directly at his father's feet.
The grenade exploded with a blinding, deafening flash of pure white light that completely disoriented the entire room.
Jason violently grabbed Maya by the waist and aggressively tackled her heavily behind a massive steel shipping crate.
