Chapter 5 - The Biotech Heist
David stood perfectly calm in the dark medical lobby with his expensive tailored suit completely pristine.
He casually aimed the silver pistol directly at Jason with the practiced ease of a completely ruthless killer.
"You always were entirely too smart for your own good, Jason," David said with a cold, hollow laugh.
Jason instinctively stepped sideways to completely block David's view of the dying twins lying on the lobby sofa.
"You aggressively used my own humanitarian charity to secretly fund global terrorist organizations," Jason stated furiously.
David happily nodded his head and casually adjusted his silk tie with his free hand.
"It was the absolute perfect criminal setup because your pristine reputation completely shielded all of our dark operations."
Jason felt a massive wave of pure rage violently wash over his exhausted, bleeding body.
"Give me the antidote right now before I completely rip your head off," Jason demanded loudly.
David smiled wickedly and pulled a small glass vial filled with glowing blue liquid from his pocket.
He deliberately held the fragile glass vial precariously over the hard marble floor of the lobby.
"Slide the gold drive across the floor right now, or I simply drop the cure and your sons die in agony."
Jason knew if he surrendered the only leverage he had, David would likely execute all of them anyway.
He desperately calculated the physical distance between himself and his traitorous former friend.
Jason slowly reached into his ruined suit pocket and carefully pulled out the shiny gold digital drive.
He tossed the drive perfectly across the massive floor, watching it slide directly to David's expensive shoes.
David greedily bent down to pick up the drive, momentarily taking his sharp eyes off Jason.
Jason aggressively lunged forward and brutally tackled the lawyer forcefully to the hard marble floor.
They violently wrestled in the dark, trading incredibly heavy, brutal punches in the complete silence of the building.
Jason finally managed to land a devastatingly powerful blow to David's jaw, instantly knocking him completely unconscious.
He frantically scrambled back to his feet, gasping for air while thick blood dripped heavily from his nose.
Jason urgently snatched the small glass vial from the floor and rushed back to his fading sons.
He expertly administered the blue liquid directly into their small arms using an emergency medical syringe from the desk.
Within seconds, the terrifying purple veins began to rapidly fade from their pale skin.
Liam took a massive, deep breath and finally opened his bright blue eyes to look at his father.
Jason aggressively hugged them both, crying tears of absolute relief into their soft blonde hair.
Suddenly, a massive, deafening explosion violently ripped through the main roof of the biotech building.
