Damian pressed his gun against Luca's temple as the SUV tore down the highway.
He demanded the entire truth before he pulled the trigger.
Luca kept his eyes on the road, his hands trembling on the steering wheel.
He confessed that he had been secretly in love with Elena twenty-two years ago.
He explained that Anthony Romano had ordered his own daughter killed because she discovered his treason.

They pulled into an abandoned industrial warehouse on the edge of the city.

They parked the SUV inside and barricaded the heavy metal doors.
Damian paced the floor, trying to process the magnitude of his father's betrayal.
Suddenly, the warehouse doors bowed inward from a massive explosive charge.
The doors blew off their hinges, filling the room with blinding white smoke and tear gas.
Damian shielded Mia with his body as red laser sights cut through the haze.
