He realized he could not trust a single guard on his payroll.

Damian sprinted across the bunker and scooped Mia into his arms.
Doctor Evans followed closely behind them, clutching his medical bag.
They ran down a narrow concrete hallway leading deeper underground.
Damian reached the massive steel door of the estate's panic room.
He punched in a twelve-digit code and pressed his thumb against the biometric scanner.
The heavy door hissed open and they rushed inside.
Luca pulled the lever to engage the magnetic locks.
They were safe inside a vault that could withstand a military airstrike.
Damian walked over to the panic room's independent security monitors.
He turned on the screens to watch the chaos unfolding above them.
Dozens of heavily armed mercenaries were breaching the main mansion.
They were systematically executing the few loyal guards who refused to turn.
The leader of the assault team walked into the main hallway and pulled off his helmet.
Mia walked up to the glowing monitors and pointed her tiny finger at the screen.
She smiled and said her Mommy told her to watch out for Uncle Victor.
Damian stared at the monitor in absolute horror.
