Chapter 5 - The Assassin’s Confession

Elena carefully stepped over the massive, lifeless body of the enforcer, entirely abandoning her submissive maid persona forever.

She quickly grabbed the dead man's heavy tactical pistol, expertly checking the loaded chamber with highly practiced, entirely lethal precision.

The freezing stone cellar was completely silent, but she inherently knew that finding an incredibly safe exit route was nearly impossible now.

She carefully wrapped a torn, bloody piece of her ruined uniform completely around her severely bruised wrists to temporarily stop the bleeding.

Elena moved completely silently through the incredibly dark, highly complex labyrinth of the ancient mansion's hidden service corridors.

She successfully bypassed three heavily armed security patrols by perfectly utilizing the total darkness and her completely intimate knowledge of the estate's blind spots.

Just as she safely reached the heavy wooden door leading directly into the main library, the massive lights violently flickered and died.

She completely froze in the suffocating darkness, perfectly leveling her stolen weapon directly at the heavy wooden door.

The heavy door violently smashed open, completely ripped from its iron hinges by a massive, highly aggressive force.

Julian stood entirely perfectly framed in the doorway, highly illuminated by the blinding beam of his heavy tactical weapon light.

His massive chest heaved violently with pure, unadulterated adrenaline, his intense eyes frantically searching the dark room until the harsh light finally hit her face.

He did not lower his heavy weapon when he completely recognized the terrified woman carrying his child.

Instead, Julian completely locked his heavily trained aim directly on the center of Elena's chest, his jaw completely clenched in absolute, highly concentrated fury.

"I successfully found the heavily encrypted Rossi ledger entirely hidden under the floorboards in the master bedroom, Elena," Julian stated in a completely dead, highly dangerous voice.

Elena slowly lowered her own stolen weapon entirely toward the floor, strictly refusing to violently point a gun at the only man she truly loved.

"The deeply complicated truth is entirely more dangerous than whatever you are completely assuming right now, Julian," she pleaded entirely softly.

Julian aggressively stepped forward, violently kicking her dropped weapon completely across the dark room.

"You are a highly trained Rossi assassin sent entirely here to completely infiltrate my family and violently execute me in my sleep!" Julian roared in pure heartbreak.

"Was every single romantic thing you ever whispered to me in the dark simply a highly calculated, entirely disgusting lie to secure an heir?" he demanded desperately.

Elena stared directly down the deadly barrel of his gun, absolutely completely fearless in the face of her impending death.

"I entirely came to this house to violently destroy your family, Julian, because your father aggressively murdered my brother ten years ago," she confessed with absolute, brutal honesty.

"But I deeply fell in entirely genuine, completely unexpected love with you, and I forcefully burned my own assassination orders to protect our baby!" she cried out passionately.

Julian’s aggressive finger slowly trembled on the highly sensitive trigger, violently torn between absolute, deeply ingrained mafia logic and his own entirely shattered heart.

Before Julian could completely make the incredibly impossible decision to execute the pregnant mother of his child, a massive, highly violent explosion rocked the entire estate.

The thick, bulletproof windows of the library entirely shattered inward violently as dozens of heavily armed men wearing the Rossi syndicate crest aggressively breached the perimeter.
