Chapter 8 - The Desperate Plan

Elias and Adeline raced frantically through the dark city streets in a completely stolen mercenary vehicle.
Adeline's tight knuckles were pure white as she gripped the dashboard firmly in sheer panic.
"If he hurts my wonderful son, I will tear him apart completely with my bare hands," she swore venomously.
Elias drove the car with reckless, terrifying speed, totally running every red light directly in their path.
He was frantically dialing complicated numbers on his encrypted satellite phone.
He firmly called in every single loyal soldier, deadly assassin, and tough enforcer remaining in his syndicate.
"Meet me immediately at Pier 49, heavy weapons only," he barked commandingly into the receiver.
He was totally going to bring a literal, bloody war to the Boston docks.
They arrived exactly at the massive, rain-slicked shipping pier ten agonizing minutes later.
The entire area was completely surrounded by heavily armed Haverin cartel members.
A massive, rusted cargo ship idled loudly in the dark water, completely ready to depart.
Rourke and Cormac stood arrogantly at the very top of the ship's steep boarding ramp.
Rourke violently held a terrified Leo strongly by the collar of his thin jacket.
"You totally lose, Elias!" Cormac shouted victoriously over the roaring, salty wind.
"Sign over the territorial deeds immediately, or the kid takes a very long, very deep swim."
Elias stepped confidently out of the vehicle and walked incredibly slowly toward the heavily guarded ramp.
He securely held his hands up high in the freezing air to show he was completely unarmed.
"Let the innocent boy go, Rourke, this is strictly between us," Elias yelled incredibly calmly.
Adeline stayed totally hidden safely in the shadows of the vehicle, clutching her heavy sniper rifle tightly.
She perfectly lined up her scope's crosshairs directly on Cormac's highly arrogant forehead.
She was patiently waiting for the absolutely perfect moment to strike.
"Sign the legal papers first," Rourke demanded harshly, waving a waterproof clipboard arrogantly in the air.
Suddenly, the deafening roaring engines of a dozen black tactical SUVs echoed violently across the docks.
Elias's incredibly loyal army had finally arrived in total, overwhelming full force.
Dozens of heavily armed men poured out of the vehicles aggressively, surrounding the cartel completely.
The docks immediately erupted fiercely into the most violent gang war the dark city had ever seen.
Lethal bullets flew exactly like rain through the dark, intensely stormy night.
Elias aggressively tackled two guards and charged fiercely up the slick metal ramp.
He violently punched Cormac directly in the jaw, sending the rival boss crashing heavily over the metal railing.
Rourke panicked entirely as the bloody chaos unfolded uncontrollably around him.
He dragged Leo aggressively toward the extreme edge of the cargo ship's deck.
"Stay back, or I absolutely swear I will drop him!" Rourke screamed exactly like a madman.
Elias completely stopped in his tracks, raising his hands peacefully once again.
Adeline sprinted aggressively up the ramp right behind Elias, screaming her son's name desperately.

Rourke smiled a sick, highly twisted smile as he looked directly down at the freezing, violent water below.
Without saying another single word, Rourke violently shoved the young boy backward directly over the edge of the massive ship.
