Chapter 6 - The Dive

The first-class cabin was instantly plunged into chaos as the plane continued its terrifying descent.
Yellow oxygen masks dropped from the ceiling panels with a sharp, hissing mechanical pop.
Leah scrambled desperately across the slanted floor and pulled a mask tightly over her face.
Silas secured a tiny mask onto his baby before grabbing one for himself.
"Marcus, get the cockpit door open!" Silas commanded through his muffled plastic mask.
The giant security guard gripped the handle of the cockpit door and pulled with all his enormous might.
The heavy reinforced door did not budge a single inch.
"It is electronically sealed from the inside!" Marcus shouted over the roaring noise of the engines.
"Whoever is flying this plane has intentionally locked us out."
Leah's mind raced straight back to her little sister out in economy.
"Maya is still back there!" Leah screamed, trying to stand up against the extreme G-force.
"You cannot go back out there, you will break your neck," Silas yelled, holding her firmly down.
The plane suddenly leveled out violently, throwing everyone to the floor once again.
The abrupt stabilization was almost worse than the dive itself.
Leah tore her mask off as she realized the cabin pressure was completely normal.
The automated voice warning about depressurization had been a complete lie to cause panic.
"They faked the warning to keep everyone strapped to their seats," Silas realized, throwing his mask aside.
He pulled a heavy titanium pry bar from his luggage and handed it immediately to Marcus.
"Break the lock right now," Silas ordered.
Marcus began violently smashing the pry bar against the electronic keypad.
Sparks flew everywhere, but the reinforced steel held strong.
Leah noticed something very strange about the digital map glowing on the wall monitor.
The entire flight path had completely changed.
They were no longer heading toward Rome.
The green line tracing their route had made a sharp, deliberate turn over the Alps.
"Silas," Leah called out, pointing a shaking finger at the screen.
"Where are we going?"
Silas looked up at the monitor and froze in place.
The destination marker was hovering over an isolated, mountainous region with no major airports in sight.
It was a private airstrip controlled by the very people Silas was flying to escape.
Before Silas could answer, a loud metallic click echoed through the cabin.
Marcus dropped the pry bar and slowly turned around.
May you like
He was holding a gun, and it was pointed directly at Silas's chest.
"We are going home, boss," Marcus said with a cold, dead smile.
