Chapter 8 - The Legal Trap

At 7:55 PM, Mia’s livestream countdown was ticking down. Three million people were waiting in the chat. She was dressed in a sequined gown, holding a glass of Dom Pérignon, surrounded by cheering sycophants.

At exactly 7:58 PM, Clara’s legal team filed a $150 million defamation, emotional distress, and corporate sabotage lawsuit against Mia Kensington.

But Clara didn't stop there. Using her limitless resources, Clara’s PR team bought the absolute maximum ad space across every major social media platform. They didn't buy ads to defend Clara; they bought ads to promote a live link.

The clock struck 8:00 PM. Mia went live.

"What is up, guys?!" Mia screamed into the camera, the chat flying by so fast it was unreadable. "Welcome to the biggest night of my life! The night we proved that no matter how rich you are, you can't get away with being a thief!"

Simultaneously, a second video went live across the internet. It was titled: The Real Beverly Hills Bandit.
