Chapter 3 - The Boardroom Bloodbath

Monday morning. The glass walls of the Vance Tech boardroom overlooked the city like an eagle's nest. I sat at the head of the mahogany table, waiting.

The doors swung open, and Arthur walked in, flanked by three of our most aggressive board members. He looked smug, confident in the power dynamics he had spent a lifetime manipulating.

“Julian,” Arthur said smoothly, taking a seat at the opposite end. “We need to discuss your recent… erratic behavior. Bringing a homeless woman and her brood into the company property. Threatening the founder.”

“They are my children, Arthur,” I said evenly, sliding a thick folder to the center of the table.

“Allegedly,” snorted Richard, the CFO and Arthur’s lapdog. “Julian, the board is concerned about your mental state. Arthur is calling for a vote of no confidence. We need a steady hand for the Vanguard merger.”

I leaned forward, steepling my fingers. “Before we vote, perhaps the board should review the contents of that folder. Marcus spent the weekend digging through Arthur’s private servers.”

Arthur’s smug expression faltered. “What is this nonsense?”

“It’s a detailed record of corporate espionage, wire fraud, and illegal surveillance,” I said, my voice turning to ice. “It turns out, using company funds to hire private military contractors to stalk and ruin a pregnant civilian constitutes massive federal crimes. You didn't just ruin Elena's life, Dad. You embezzled eight million dollars of Vance Tech money to do it.”

The room went dead silent. Richard paled, pulling the folder open.

“You’re bluffing,” Arthur spat, though sweat beaded on his forehead.

“I’ve already sent a copy to the SEC and the FBI,” I replied, standing up. “The vote of no confidence isn't for me, Arthur. It's for you. Security will escort you out.”
